Most of these posters are available, but I did not have time to annotate them yet. I can let You know when this will happen.
Check with this page often, since I am just annotating them now.
Clicking on the poster or the number below will show a bigger scan in a new window. The ruler alongside each poster measures 1 foot, or about 30cm. "Det" means detail [for description and price, look at the undetailed listing], "ds" means that the poster was printed on both sides. Prices and descriptions will be added gradually - there are lots of posters to process.

518/ I want the skies to be here for ever/ I want the sun to be here for ever!/ I want mom to be here for ever!/ I want me to be here for ever! A popular Soviet peace song. Part of Soviet propaganda was to keep emphasising that the USSR is the greatest peacekeeper ever. When they wanted to invade other country, they'd find and/or buy a few local citizens that were for them, supported them, and then invaded "to help those communists against the bad
anti-communists" (i.e. - against the vast majority of the locals). That way, they could always keep the face of "fighters for peace" (that's right! They were saying: global peace cannot be kept, since the capitalist system is exploiting the workers. We got to fight for peace. We have to start a war... and keep fighting until there is socialism everywhere - isn't that the best way to have peace?!). Military propaganda is so
similar everywhere... €36 Notify me |
